The information for our summer swim team -
Trophy League - is available on the website under "Team Info -
Summer Trophy League". The Trophy League is open to all swimmers
ages 5-18 who are able to swim at least 25 yards of freestyle and
backstroke.
If you missed our Open House but are interested
in the summer league, just come to the pool during practice -
10&unders at 3:15 M-F or 6:00 M-Th; 11&overs at 5:30 M-F;
and high school aged swimmers at 4:15 M-F. Swimmers should
come ready with suit, cap and goggles and will be evaluated for
squad placement.

The information is now
available for our biggest fundraiser for the year. We would
like to have everyone participate in raising funds. It is an
easy way to raise money for the team. It is an easy way
to help keep our monthly dues low so we can make sure that
being on a swim team is available for everyone.
The money raised is
used to buy practice and dryland equipment, allows us to use
the outdoor pool for additional space, and this year we are working
toward helping Osborn with a UV filter for the indoor pool.
This filter will help with the air quality during practice by
eliminating the chloramines produced by activity in the
water. When the team reaches last year's amount of
$25,000 we will make a donation to Osborn with a portion of the
amount above $25,000.
We have a demo letter you can make
your own by putting pictures on it, talking about your personal
goals, your accomplishments, new friends ... whatever you can think
of adding to personalize it. Have fun with it. Then
send the letter to your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, your
mom's yoga instructor ... anybody that you can think to send it
to. CAT is a nonprofit and the donation may be tax
deductible. Remember if you don't ask them they can't say
Yes!
Stroke and Turn
Clinics
Our team has always been great at bringing
officials to meets that we attend. In recent years, we have
had fewer certified officials on the team. Teams are starting
to accept entries into their meets based on how many officials you
can bring to their meet. CAT is in a definite need of
parents with younger children to become Stroke and Turn
certified. Jacki Allender is willing to hold a clinic here at
Osborn at anytime. If you are interested in learning more,
