afternoon practice on either January 2nd
3rd or 4th ,
preferably the 4th
. Everyone should bring $1, CAT will
pick up the rest of the cost.
Office
Manager
–
Laura said that regarding the team pictures, there were 18
responses: ½ wanted retakes, the rest said don’t bother, but
don’t use
again. Discussion regarding the
background didn’t suit the larger team picture as individual pictures
were
good.
As
of last Friday, there were 9 swimmers with outstanding
paperwork. Jeannie asked that she
receive a list of who they were.
Treasurer
–
Jeannie reported
that financially we are about $6,000 below where we were last year;
expenses up
$3,000, income down $3,000.
Jeannie
has 136 swimmers; Greg has 129.
Fundraising
- Received entire check ($6,000) from Salbasgeon,
received $1500 from HP.
Tom
Brooks brought up a possible dining out night at Appleby’s
where portion of dining is donated to CAT.
Togo’s
will be at
Senior Open and is giving 20% of their sales to CAT.
CAT will sell Gatorade and water at front
desk.
Press
Liaison:
Will be an article
in the GT regarding CAT within next couple of days.
Coaches:
Rick
-
There
will be heat sheets for sale at the Senior Open finals, $2
each.
Stephanie
needs to get the time standards for Sr. Sectional
and National. Alan
will talk to here about that.
The
team has new caps, black with CAT logo.
New-comers
meet went really well.
About 30 kids participated.
Seniors helped out with the meet – would like to do it every 6
months.
OSI now requires receipts for
anyone who goes to Nationals.
Greg
–
It
was decided not to do the white elephant exchange this year –
too much going on with late notice.
Will
be gone until next year visiting family…. Sean Daly will be
covering the workouts.
There
are enough 11 – 12 yr old boys to have both an A and B relay.
Kristin
Shreeve interested in becoming the meet director. Alan
said that he would get in touch with her
to finalize that.
Masters
Representative – CAT lost 2 swimmers
to the Timberhill club.
Pool
Director
– James
said that one of the lifeguards’ mom died – other guards
stepped in to cover his shifts.
Outdoor
pool should be open for W/U and cool down Saturday
morning.
Mike
Fisher out on honeymoon.
If need help for anything, ask James.
Would
like to enforce that CAT swimmers sign in when coming in through
the door – important regarding security and accountability.
Asked
if there was anything that they could do to help out with
the meet. Pulling out the bleachers and
pulling diving board up would be great.
Also, thanks for putting up the banner – it looks great!
Meet
Director

Housekeeping
Items –
no housekeeping items
Old
Business –
- Laura and
Nathan worked to get file cabinet.
- CAT banner is
up.
- Jay picked up
the relay record board. It should be up
before the Senior Open.
- Suzanne is now
putting the final touches on the marketing flyer – passed them around
for input. Thanks to Kelly for starting
this project.
- Bill started
the level I of the gold, silver, and bronze award based on team’s
performance.
New
Business –
1.
Suzanne is concerned that we will not have enough
marshals. Bill stated that it is the
meet referee who determines how many marshals are needed.
It was decided that we had enough parents to
draw from and that it shouldn’t be a problem.
2. Bill talked about the
USA Swimming Team Recognition program in which a swim team can earn up
to
$12,500. There are 4 different levels in
this gold/silver/bronze program. These
awards are given based on the performance of the swimmers.
Has almost completed the paperwork to get to
level one.
The
meeting adjourned at 8:25 PM.
