Office Manager – Laura got the file cabinet and lock.  Cost was only $10.
Thanks, James.

Treasurer – Jeannie has 130 swimmers, about the same as last year’s at this time.  Last 3 meets exceeded budget by about $2700.  Still about $6,000 short.   11-14’s meet budget is $10,500.  There was some discussion about what items should be billed to OSI from the meet.
Awards banquet budget $2,000 – includes awards, facility, and decorations.  Linus Pauling reserved already.
The relay board ended up costing more than was originally thought.  The Worden’s donated the remainder of the cost.
$500 was made at the Woodstock’s pizza.

Press Liaison: No report.

Coaches:
Rick -  Rick talked about the Johnson family’s sad news that Jane has advanced breast cancer and is now receiving hospice care.   CAT will be sending flowers.
After an interesting attempt at purchasing a video recorder through e-bay, one was finally purchased through Amazon at Target.
Rick talked about all the meets that were coming up: 11-14 champs next weekend; Sr. Oregon A’s-  Feb 28,29, Mar 1,2; Sr. Sectionals – Mar 5-9 (long course); Season Finale in Tualatin; Age Group Sectionals – Mar 14,15,16; and Nationals.

Greg – 10 and unders this weekend. 14 kids going.  11 – 14’s – 30 kids in this group. Greg said he will send the season finale entries to Jeannie.  Jacob Pebley going to zone select camp.  Greg would like to go as his coach.

Masters Representative no report.

Pool Director – James talked about the city council voting unanimously to appropriate money for boiler replacement.  It was the only enhancement that the council was unanimous on.  He appreciated those who came to speak to the importance of Osborn.
Increased splash fees have really benefited the pool – resulted in an additional $3,200.
District swim meet – CV girls placed 1st, CHS boys placed 1st.
New recreation equipment donated to the pool  Will be available to use at the CAT prowl.
Talked about needing more controls at the swim meets to help avoid confusion as to CAT practices, for example.
Activity guide coming out soon.   If CAT has anything they would like to add, let him know.

Meet Director – Kristin has the 11-14’s time line and psych sheet done.  Prelims end at 1:30, finals start at 4:00.  Warmups start at 4:00 on Thursday, Feb 21st.
Concerned about the need for volunteers.  There are still a lot of open spots on the volunteer board.  Jay said that he had recruited the boy scouts to help out with the meet – in the area of clean up in particular, but they are willing to do anything that needs to be done.

Fundraising – Has made an appointment with Applebee’s to see if they would be interested in sponsoring another fundraiser night.  Has approached McMinneman’s – they said no.  Other suggestions:  Ruby Tuesday’s, El Sol de Mexico, Dutch Bros, American Dream, Bombs Away.

Housekeeping Items – no housekeeping items

Open Discussion – Still no chairperson for the Awards Banquet.  Waiting on a response from Kerri Beamer.  Several parents willing to help out, but need a leader.

Old Business –
1.  Suzanne passed around the completed marketing flyer was passed around.  Used SP & B.
2.  Bill and Rick completed Level I for the USA team recognition.  Haven’t heard back yet if qualify for the silver/gold level.  Should find out in March.

New Business –
CAT-a-thon – Rhonda Soule will be the chair.  CAT prowl is on April 26th .
Laura said we need to start thinking about getting a press liason as the Leslie’s won’t be active in CAT after this year.  And also, to consider a dues increase every year rather than wait and then need to increase by a large amount.
Greg can’t get the Vista meet manager program to update.  Needs $25 to take care of that.
Tom raised concern that we need more revenue.  Rick wanted to focus on summer league to bring in more swimmers.

The meeting adjourned at 8:18 PM.
